P78 is building the propulsion systems and orbital vehicles that connect every asset in space, from Earth orbit to the lunar surface. Interns at P78 are embedded in the team and contributing to real projects from day one.
You'll take ownership of a defined problem, work directly with the engineers building the hardware, and deliver something real. Background and institution matter less than attitude and ability. If you're curious, self-directed, and ready to learn quickly, we'd like to hear from you.
You'll work directly with the founders on the fluid systems and test infrastructure behind P78's first propulsion system. This is a hands-on internship covering design, hardware selection, assembly, instrumentation and testing. You'll own a real problem end to end and deliver something that works.
You do not need to have built a rocket engine before. We care more about strong fundamentals, practical judgement and evidence that you can build and troubleshoot physical systems. Fluid dynamics or fluid-system experience is a strong bonus.
End-of-study internship, with a path to a permanent role for the right person.
- Design and analysis of propulsion fluid systems, layouts and interfaces
- Selection and integration of valves, regulators, tubing, fittings, tanks and instrumentation
- Hands-on assembly, plumbing, leak testing and troubleshooting
- Test-facility integration, data acquisition and operational preparation
- Pressure tests and hotfire campaigns, from setup through analysis and iteration
- Safe operating procedures and configuration discipline for pressure and propellant systems
- Strong mechanical, aerospace or related engineering fundamentals
- Hardware you've personally built, integrated and tested
- Practical problem-solving and confidence working with real systems
- Ability to design and analyse, then take the work into the workshop
- Self-direction: taking a problem from definition through build and test
- Fluent English; working French is a strong plus
- Fluid dynamics, thermofluids or fluid-system design
- Tubing, valves, pumps, pressure systems or instrumentation
- Formula SAE, robotics, aerospace projects, test rigs or workshop builds
- System integration and troubleshooting
- Rocketry or engine projects
